Step Community Center

We have established S.T.E.P. Community Center as a separate 501C3 organization. STEP Community Center (Sent to Empower People) is an outreach of Step of Faith Church. The outreach is made up of people of every race and nationality, business leaders, working professionals and any persons that are concerned citizens with a desire to impact their world in a positive way. We provide one-on-one tutoring/mentoring for students in the urban community of Grand Rapids. We have adopted William C. Abney Academy. We provide mentoring and tutoring through the Kids Hope U.S.A.

Hip-hop Fest

(3rd Saturday in July annually) The vision of this event is to win youth and families to Christ and to cultivate the next generation of leaders for the Church of Jesus Christ. This is a two day outdoor event targeting the “hip-hop” generation. We will give young people who love the Lord an opportunity to worship and minister to their peers. Their will be clowns, face painting, Gleaners Food truck offering free groceries, games for children, snow cones, and booths for organizations that serve teens.

Band of Brothers

This is our outreach to men. Proverbs 47:17 as iron sharpens iron, so a man sharpens the countenance of his friend. We network across racial, economic, and denominational lines to reach men. We currently serve about 50 men weekly through “network fellowship.”

Women of Destiny

This is our outreach to women. Women of Destiny is a gathering of women across social, economic, racial, and denominational lines; understanding that we are saved and called by God for His purposes (4Timothy 1:6-9).

Twice a month teams visit our neighbors. Each team adopts a block and builds genuine relationships in the community. Together our local congregation comes along side the residence to build healthy neighborhoods.
